Greggs have recently announced that in addition to their existing 2,115 bakery shops, they are expecting to open an additional 100 new branches by the end of 2021. Not only is this good news for landlords but will also create c500 much needed new jobs.
The company announced year to date profits of £55m against a loss of £65m in 2020 over the same period, when trading was severely hampered due to restrictions of trade and Government stay at home rules.
It is expected that these new sites will not be the more traditional high street locations but located on car access sites such as retail parks and drive throughs.
